Carney-Frost Funeral Home was
established in 1923 by Rollin E. Carney Sr. The funeral Home was located on 123 Canal Street in LaGrange, Indiana.
Rollin was a graduate of the Askin School of Embalming in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Adha Caldwell and had
five children; Frank, Willard, John, Rollin Jr and Alice. In 1947, his two sons, Frank and Willard joined the family
business. In 1954, a third son, Rollin Jr. joined the funeral home that was and still is located on 603 S. Detroit
Street, LaGrange, Indiana. Alice married Henry Frost and joined the family business in 1963. In 1959 Gordon
Frost, (son of Alice) graduated from mortuary school and joined the firm as the third generation. In 1980, the
funeral home was incorporated and the name was changed to Carney-Frost Funeral Home. In 1996 Michael Frost (son of Gordon)
graduated from mortuary school and joined the firm as the fourth generation.
