Shirley M. (Carroll) McKee age 87, of Howe, Indiana died Sunday January 21, 2018 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born September 22, 1930 in Anderson, Indiana to Russel and Jewell “Julia” Anna (Jasicki) Carroll. She married Verlin P. McKee on December 9, 1945 in Anderson, Indiana. Moving to Howe, Indiana in 1955. Mrs. McKee worked for over 20 years at Coachman Industries as a Cost Analyst until she retired in 1992. She was the owner of the Mill Run Mobile Home Park, Howe from 1965 to current and previously owned and operated the “Dog and Suds” in Sturgis, Michigan. She had been an active member of the La Grange County Democratic Party running as a candidate for La Grange County Councilman-at-Large. She is survived by 2 sons Christopher and Christine McKee of Corpus Christi, TX and Mark McKee and Mark 'Sherman' Trombley of Chicago, IL, 1 daughter Rachel Young and John Combs of Howe, In, and a daughter in law – Linda McKee of White Pigeon, Mi, 6 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Verlin, son Bruce McKee and brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange In, from 3-6pm on February 12, 2018. Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Howe, Indiana on February 13, 2018 at 12 pm. Online condolences maybe sent at www.carneyfrostfuneralhome.com.
