Gracie Morgan, age 71 of Howe, IN passed away on Friday January 4, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born on March 10, 1947 in Caney, KY to Burchell & Monnie (Huff) Slone.  She married Lee Morgan 56 years ago.  He survives.  Gracie had worked in the manufacturing industry as a press operator.  She was a former of the Mt Olive Baptist.  She enjoyed watching Soap operas, sewing, quilting, canning and churning apple butter.  She loved baking for her family.  She is survived by; her husband Lee.  2 sons – Harold & Celeste Morgan of Ligonier and Ricky L. & Tiffani Morgan of Willard, OH.  3 daughters – Kathy & Roy Johnson of Howe, IN.  Linda & Brent Smith of Wolcottville, IN and Teresa & Eli Miller of Stroh, IN.  3 brothers – Cecil Slone of Willard, OH.  Carlos Cains of Willard, OH and Frederick Cains of Reno, NV.  2 sisters – Emma Jean Adams of Corunna, IN and Christine Collins, Ligonier, IN.  16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 son – Roger Lee Morgan in 1964.  1 grandson – Devon Lee Morgan in 1999.  1 great-grandchild – Jaxon Morgan in 2016.  1 sister – Francis Bentley and 4 brothers – twins Clarence and Lawrence, Mitchell and Estill Slone.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday January 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with her son-in-law Roy Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery, Howe, IN.  On-line condolences may be sent at  Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN are handling the arrangements.
