John Lackey

John Lackey, age 57, of LaGrange, IN died Friday April 26, 2019 at his home.  He was born October 12, 1961 in Norton, VA to Alford and Minnie “Louise” (Johnson) Lackey.  John served in the Army National Guard Reserves in Sturgis, MI.  He married Linda Stutzman on September 26, 1981 at the Church of Christ in LaGrange, IN.  She survives.  He had worked in the fabrication field for many years and then worked for the State Department of the Toll Road as part of the maintenance crew.    John loved working and playing on computers, going fishing and was a great mechanic.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  He is survived by his wife, 1 son – James Joseph Lackey & Megan Ramey of Wolcottville, IN.  3 brothers – David Lackey and Tonya Martinez and Randy and Sherri Lackey both of LaGrange, Indiana.  Ray and Linda Lackey of Goshen, Indiana.  3 sisters – Exer & Roscoe Johnson of Bevinsville, Kentucky, Monica & Mike Harper of Ocala, Florida and Debra & Scott Chapman of LaGrange, Indiana.  3 grandchildren- Keyan, Karson and Kassidy Lackey.  He was preceded in death by his Dad - Alford Lackey on April 15, 2007,  Mom - Louise Lackey on January 3, 2011 and 1 bother Alford “Craig” Lackey on January 1, 2018.  Visitation will be held at Carney-Frost Funeral Home Thursday May 2, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.  The funeral service will be held Friday May 3, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with the Pastor’s Chris and Andrea Lantz of the LaGrange United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, Indiana.  Memorials may be given to the Lackey family.  Online condolences may be sent at www.carneyfrostfuneralhome.com.  Carney-Frost Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
