Richard W. Elijah, age 83, of LaGrange, IN died Sunday July 16, 2017 at Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville, IN.  He was born in Ligonier, IN on June 6, 1934 to Bob & Addie Elijah.  He married Anna Lee Grey on May 27, 1972 in Howe, IN.  She precedes him in death.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was employed as a Line Inspector and Maintenance at Con Rail Railroad until his retirement.  He was a former member of the Eagles, American Legion and the VFW.  He enjoyed playing Euchre, playing any kind of cards, fishing, pheasant hunting and hanging out with his step-son Leon.  He is survived by 3 step-sons – Leon & Pam Pelfrey of LaGrange, IN, Dennis Pelfrey of North Carolina and Homer & Sandra Pelfrey of Wayland, KY.  1 step-Daughter – Mary & Tom Haviland of Tennessee.  2 daughters – Tracy of Ligonier, IN and Teresa of North Carolina.  Several Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 step-son - Ronnie Pelfrey and 1 son – Dave Elijah.  Visitation will be held on Thursday July 20, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN.  The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday July 20, 2017 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery, Howe, IN with military honors performed by the American Legion Post #215.  On-line condolences may be sent at www.carneyfrostfuneralhome.com.  Carney-Frost Funeral Home, LaGrange, IN is Handling the arrangements.

So sorry to hear about Uncle Richard's passing. I'm not sure if I can make the viewing and service. I posted several photos which were in my mom's collection. Hope you enjoy them.
